Stephen Tuggy, Computer Consultant

Welcome to my web page. I am a Software Engineer and IT Consultant with twelve years of experience, currently based in central California. I am skilled at database and application design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and technical support. I am also experienced in web design, network monitoring, and general PC support. I specialize in APIs; Mobile Resource Management; IP CCTV; custom database and application development; test case creation and test automation; C#, VB, SQL Server, Access, FoxPro, and WordPress.

For the last three years, I have been a Software Engineer in Test for Pelco by Schneider Electric, a world leader in video security and a socially responsible company. I have worked as part of a team on software projects that enable integrating Pelco’s products and solutions with those from other manufacturers. At least half of my time has been dedicated to successive versions of the Pelco SDK, from 2.1.0 to 3.4.0 and beyond. Other projects have included the integration between Software House C-CURE 9000 and Pelco Endura, and more recently, various integrations of Pelco products with Lenel OnGuard and LNVR.

At this job, my knowledge of C# has grown tremendously. It is now my preferred programming language. I have also learned a lot about testing, especially automated testing and Continuous Integration. (Can you tell that I love my work?) My experience coding in C++ has also increased substantially. So has my Linux experience.
